Whether traveling to visit friends in USA or backpacking around Europe, Ucarry.it connects travelers to packages, for an extra recompense and chance to make a friend at delivery. Our world-class customer service and a growing community of users, Ucarry.it is the easiest way for people to monetize their extra space in their suitcase. (inspired on AirBNB)
UCARRY.it is a social utility for friend to friend shipping. We are a shipping service provider which creates a platform for you to connect with your friends for the purpose of shipping.
When it comes to the share economy, there are many tasks that you can get strangers to do – but certain things you pretty much rely only on friends or people you know. Many people around the world specifically use their friends who are traveling to be their couriers. This is just something people do, and UCARRY.it is a service to help make it more effective and provide a means to increase your friend base.
We’re a Hong Kong based company.
Gus and Ramiro first met on the Jiu-Jitsu mats in Hong Kong. Both expats with over 15 years martial arts experience, who would bond together to try and solve one simple problem:
Make shipping easier and more social by bringing people together.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), has been in Hong Kong since July/2010. With several years in products sourcing and trading, including an experience at Chinese manufacturer, has experienced frustrations dealing with same couriers companies, sometimes craving for some Açaí or trying to send a tiny ribbon sample for client approval.
Passionate about sharing economy, has experienced and travelled to San Francisco (USA) for a closer look on it. Believes that anyone should be able to be a part-time driver, host and (why not) a Courier to make a living with that.
Formerly a field technician, born in Australia, but spent his entire professional life abroad. Has spent the past 11 years working within the Telecommunications industry and has seen first hand the unnecessary issues caused by customs especially when electronics are concerned.
Is focused on using the shared economy as leverage to help make shipping easier. At some point in time we all need to ship something abroad. Why not use a service where there is full accountability and visibility - with UCARRY we can speak to the actual individual carrying the item. This is what we are trying to improve on from the likes of DHL/FedEx/UPS etc.
Helping the person carrying by giving them some extra spending money for their holiday we also think is an added bonus.
